Time keeps marching on....

Wow, summer has gone by super fast! It seems like we waited forever for it to finally warm up, and now here we are near the end of August. I'm busily making new beads, and getting ready for the Thousand Springs Festival next month.

I love sitting at the torch, and figuring out new techniques, or even finding something wonderful totally by accident! Having my bead room has made such a difference in my beadmaking. It's so nice to be able to pop in there whenever I have the urge to play with glass. Even if I only have a little while, I can sit right down and get started.

I love it! If one of my kids is looking for me, they know to check "Mom's Bead Room." It's turned out to be a good spot for the kids to come and just visit with me too. Sometimes I'm on the torch, and one of the girls will come and watch for a while. When I'm working on assembling my glass creations at my table, often someone will come and chat while I work. Oddly enough, "Mom's Bead Room" has also become a place to share the good news of the day, the worries of a teenage heart, and just some good mother/daughter time.
