It's been a while since I updated this blog. Heath issues, spending tons of time at the torch and little time photographing things are my excuses. I will try to get some new things listed soon.

In the meantime, for all those people who live in my area- I will be at the Kimberly Neighborhood Market the first Thursday of every month through October. It starts at 6 pm and goes til dusk. I will also be attending Kimberly Good Neighbor Day, so please stop by and say hi.

When September gets here, you can look for me at Thousand Springs. Now that is a fun event! Gorgeous scenery, and amazing artists.

Harvest Time Festival

Well, the Harvest Time Festival is over for another year. As usual it was a fun show to attend. I must admit that I'm pooped out, and thankful to be home this evening! Thank you all of the customers who stopped at my booth. You are so appreciated! I must give a shout out to my sweet husband who sat at the booth with me all three days- so sweetly telling everyone what I did, and bragging on me. He's truly a sweetheart. Thanks also go out to my great kids who helped set up and take down everything. They also took care of things at home so I could do the show. I am so blessed with a wonderful family!

Thousand Springs Art Fesival

This weekend is the Thousand Springs Art Festival on Ritter Island. I set up my booth earlier today, and wow, it's a beautiful place. I especially love the waterfalls. So if you are in my area, I hope you'll stop by. The festival will include some awesome art, wonderful music, displays, and good food. It's open Saturday Sept. 25 10-6, and Sunday Sept. 26 10-5. Hope to see you there!

Time keeps marching on....

Wow, summer has gone by super fast! It seems like we waited forever for it to finally warm up, and now here we are near the end of August. I'm busily making new beads, and getting ready for the Thousand Springs Festival next month.

I love sitting at the torch, and figuring out new techniques, or even finding something wonderful totally by accident! Having my bead room has made such a difference in my beadmaking. It's so nice to be able to pop in there whenever I have the urge to play with glass. Even if I only have a little while, I can sit right down and get started.

I love it! If one of my kids is looking for me, they know to check "Mom's Bead Room." It's turned out to be a good spot for the kids to come and just visit with me too. Sometimes I'm on the torch, and one of the girls will come and watch for a while. When I'm working on assembling my glass creations at my table, often someone will come and chat while I work. Oddly enough, "Mom's Bead Room" has also become a place to share the good news of the day, the worries of a teenage heart, and just some good mother/daughter time.

Kimberly Good Neighbor Days

If you are in the magic valley area, I hope you'll join us at Kimberly Good Neighbor Days July 9-10. Watch the parade, and then spend the day in the park enjoying the food, entertainment and numerous booths. Look for the McKim Creek Designs booth on Saturday and stop to say hi!
